Alternate KT Activities
In an effort to include the most programming choices possible for the Kaleidoscope Track, my wiz bang staff developed some awesome passive activities for our guests to enjoy.
The Digital Photo Scavenger Hunt
Staffer Hollie has assembled a top notch list of items for you to find. Use your digital camera or cell phone camera and find all 15 of our items. We are dividing our contestants into three groups: 8 yrs old and younger, 9-13 years old and 14 yrs and older. The first participant in each group to return and have their photos verified by one of the KT Staff Wins! You can pick up your item list and rules any time our track room is open!
The KT Art Project
Staffer Trish is hard at work designing the start for our KT Art Project. A portion of the wall space in the track room will be covered in paper and Staffer Trish will start our design and then leave out a basket art supplies. As your mood strikes, add your own original design to the graffiti wall. This will be available anytime our track room is open, but if it is during a panel we may ask that you participate quietly!
KT@PM
The brain child of Staffer’s Mick and Marlan, KT@PM will be a packet of activates that your child can take with them when they leave the track room. Once they are back at home or at the hotel, the packet will provide quiet activities to keep them entertained until time for bed. We ask that each child only take one packet a day. Once we have given them all way, they are gone for the rest of the Convention.
Panel Spot Light: KT Idol
Our Fabulous Staffer Mick is hosting what is sure to be one of the most entertaining hours at the Con this year. If you are between the ages of 9 & 13 and have a talent you’d like to share, then come be a part of our first ever KT Idol. Entries may be for individual or group performances, but must have parent permission for all involved. We are looking for singers, dancers, and musicians. All performances must be 1 to 2 minutes long. We only have 20 slots, so register early.
Dragon Con Staff Meeting (May 21)
It was so good to see all of our Dragon Con Peeps. The KT staff worked hard Saturday and Sunday! Yesterday we posted a tentative panel listing. Just click on the Track Schedule Tab and take a look. We are always interested in your feed back!
We do have 2 staffer spots open. If you are interested then please fill out the questionnaire and send to us at Kaleidoscope (at) dragoncon (dot) org.
Once you have glanced over our panels list, if you find something you love enough that you might consider being a panelist for our track, fill out the same questionnaire as above and send to us at the same email above.
We look forward to your comments on our panel listing.
Interview with I Love/Hate My City
Posted on Friday, Jill has a great time talking with w00t Fan at I Love/Hate My City. They discuss everything from what it is like to have a new track at Dragon Con, how to get ready for convention and how Star Wars can be a great launching pad for fandom.
Jill would like to offer a big thank you to w00t fan for a great interview and making me feel welcome and comfortable.
Enjoy.
Watch This Space!
